Adding to Content

Note: Before you can add the menus to your templates, you must have the plugin installed and have generated your menu structure.

To add a menu or breadcrumb, go to the page where you want to add it and click edit. Then click the black button at the top (fig 1) to show the plugin page. Then drag the Add Menu button (fig 2) down to the box where you want it on your page and drop it.

A form will appear at the top of the page (fig 3). First choose if you want to add a menu or a breadcrumb. If you choose breadcrumb, the form options will be ignored when you click OK.

If you are adding a menu, fill out the form options as described below:

First choose the page that will be the parent page for the menu. Choosing "Automatic" in the list will generate the menu such that the "top" level is the page the user is currently on. Otherwise, it will generate a menu based on the sub-pages for the page you choose. For example, if you have a page called "Products" and under that page in the menu, you have four product names. If you choose Products, the items in the menu will be those four products (whether to show sub-pages of those is below).

Second, enter the depth to which you want the menu system to go in that menu. If you want it to only show the four products in the "Products" menu and not it's subpages, enter 1. Entering 0 will allow it to go as deep as the menu goes.

Third, choose whether you want the parent page (in our example "Products") to be included at the top of the menu displayed.

Last, choose which type of menu you want it to display. The descriptions of each type are just below the option list.

Then click OK. The menu element will be added to the page.
